These four novellas were previously published in four anthologies—A Victorian Christmas Quilt, A Victorian Christmas Tea, A Victorian Christmas Cottage, and A Victorian Christmas Keepsake. Return to a time when life was uncomplicated, faith was sincere … and love was a gift to be cherished forever. Includes author’s favorite holiday recipes.
My Review:
This is a lovely anthology of four previously published stories. They are Angel in the Attic, Lone Star, Under His Wings and Behold the Lamb. I do not read anthologies very often but this set appealed to me for several reasons. I love the main setting of Victorian period Christmas. They are charming, romantic, and leave you with a feel good feeling when you are done reading. The Christian message is strongly displayed in all four stories. One takes place in America and the other three England. Each begins with a bible verse that reflects on the story. For example Under His Wings is loosely based on the book of Ruth. Several situations require you to suspend belief as they are not realistic. With overall enjoyable stories and characters I recommend this collection. The audience who would most likely enjoy it the most is the evangelical Christian. :)
